MEET THE TEAM

David has served as lead pastor since the spring of 2013. He and his wife, Marianne, have two children (Emma and Liam) and two dogs (their names aren't as important). David's desire is for The Gathering to be a place where anyone and everyone can experience the new life Jesus offers. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, writing, golfing, and rooting for his favorite sports teams (Michigan State, Detroit Tigers/Lions/Red Wings & Liverpool Football Club).

Steve has served at The Gathering since the spring of 2014. He and his wife Maria have two children. Steve grew up in the beautiful city of Tallmadge, Ohio, but he really loves the Dayton area. Steve is passionate about reaching those who don't know Jesus so that they can experience new life in Him. In his spare time, he and his family enjoy traveling, hiking, and watching movies.

Sam began attending The Gathering in 2022, and joined the staff team in 2023. Sam is passionate about making sure the kids at The Gathering have an awesome experience each week. Sam and her husband, Andrew have 3 kids. Sam enjoys photography, and Mexican food.

Jon has served as the pastor of worship gatherings since the spring of 2019. He and his wife, Bekah, have two kids. Although he grew up in Missouri,  Dayton has become home. Jon enjoys making videos, writing songs, and spending time with his family. He loves getting to lead Sunday morning worship gatherings and serving the church however he can. Also, cows are his favorite animal.

Annie has been an office volunteer at The Gathering since 2018 and joined the staff team in January 2023.  She and her husband, Brad, live in Centerville and their son, Ryan, keeps them busy by playing as many sports as possible.  Annie has a passion for inspiring and enabling people to use their God-given talents to serve in the community around us and spread the love of Jesus.

Ron and his wife, Debbie, have long attended The Gathering and have been involved in leading various ministries and programs since the beginning. Ron has two adult children and, after having a successful career in banking, was called to serve the church. Ron's is passionate about helping the church function smoothly so that more people can hear the good news of Jesus,

Alyssa has loved her time at The Gathering, it definitely feels like home. She is passionate about helping others feel the love of Jesus regardless of their background. Her and her husband have a son, Atlas. Alyssa coaches volleyball, loves a sweet cup of coffee and time with her family.

Andrew has been serving at The Gathering since 2022. Andrew has a passion for seeing students develop life-long relationships with Jesus, Andrew is married to his wife, Sam, and together they have three kids. Andrew loves baseball, woodworking, and spending time with his family.

Matt has served at The Gathering since the winter of 2019. Matthew grew up in Canton, Ohio, but bet fell in love with Dayton. He has a passion for all the behind scenes of a Sunday Morning and loves seeing everyone worship together. In his spare time, he loves working on model railroads, recording music, and playing shows throughout Ohio.

Jeremy is passionate about making sure our facilities are well maintained and welcoming. In addition to facilities, Jeremy serves on the music team at The Gathering. He's been a part of The Gathering since 2021 along with his wife, and daughter.

Bekah helps coordinate and communicate everything that happens at The Gathering. Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, she is passionate about seeing the next generation grow to love Jesus. She is married to Jon, and together they have two sons, Ezra and Rowan. Bekah loves reading and spending time with friends and family.

Rebecca is passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with the next generation.  She is grateful to have served in family ministry for over 12 years and holds a B.A. in Christian Ministry from Cincinnati Christian University.  She and her husband, Jeff, are the proud parents of three children and have two spoiled dogs. Rebecca is an avid reader, nature lover, Cajun cook, and a big fan of musicals.

Kelly and her family have been involved at The Gathering for many years. Being passionate about helping students connect to Jesus, Kelly works hard to facilitate  excellent YTH programs. In addition to serving at The Gathering, Kelly is a talented baker and runs her own bakery.

Brooke joined the staff team at The Gathering in 2023. Brooke is a talented graphic designer, and musician. Brooke enjoys to spend her time by playing in her band, and babysitting her nephew.
